Any member of Local 2507 experiencing homelessness should let the union know.

During a recent City Council hearing, Local 2507 provided testimony from an FDNY EMS member experiencing homelessness. This has drawn significant media attention to the city’s treatment of our workforce.

The NY Times and NBC 4 News are looking to speak with members who have experienced homelessness or housing instability—such as living in cars or staying with friends and family—due to the lack of affordable housing.

I understand this is an extremely sensitive and personal matter. While it is difficult to ask you to come forward, it is important to highlight how the city’s current policies are affecting our members.
