Over the weekend, our union sent Governor Andrew Cuomo a letter entailing our dire health & safety, PPE shortages in FDNY EMS, including threats of discipline regarding usage of N95.
We got the governor’s attention, he reached out to us and city hall to address our concerns. We have also received a call from Lt Governor Kathy Hochul expressing her gratitude to the work we are doing during this crisis and the everyday life-saving work we do.
We had a lengthy discussion regarding our needs.
We requested a few words of encouragements for our members, she agreed to do a video acknowledging
FDNY EMS.
