MetLife – Short Term Disability
- Should you miss work for COVID19 or flu-like symptoms, once you satisfy your policy waiting period MetLife will automatically approve 14 days of benefits;
- Coverage is effective immediately when you complete your application. Following your elected waiting period, you are eligible for claim payments; and
- No Employer Statement is required and filing a claim is easy! Just call, go online or send in your paperwork.
This policy was designed specifically with Members like you in mind after discussion with your Leadership about challenges you have experienced with other companies. It is backed by MetLife, the largest short-term disability insurance carrier in the United States.
MetLife – Hospital Indemnity
A new offering which helps manage health care expenses. The plan pays a daily hospital benefit directly to the insured, with additional benefits paid if you are admitted to the ICU. Members can use the benefits to help pay for out of pocket expenses such as deductibles and co-pays that your City health plan requires. Members can cover their entire family under this plan.
This coverage is offered on a Guaranteed Issue basis and has no pre-existing condition limitations that would prevent you from receiving a benefit.
