Bits:
There has been a lot of discipline handed out for failure to bring documentation. Our office needs to be aware of any loss of pay or cd generated for Sick leave violations. Reach out to delegates immediately.
Contract Negotiations:
We are still in aggressive negotiations. While we are still far apart we are making strides in getting a raise worthy of the effort and hard work are members put forth everyday.
12 hour tours:
We have not been informed yet as to whether or not a full extension past May 3rd is coming. We will update you as soon as we hear anything.
Mental Health Response Unit:
The Department plans to start training for these units by the end of the month. A posting is out currently that makes medics eligible. We understand the safety concerns members have about this unit. We have been heavily involved in selection and training modules for this pilot. We are focused on safety as the only concern.
